Ingredients
- Oats – 20 gms
- Oil – 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds ( rai / sarson) – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves (kadi patta) – 4-5 nos.
- Green chilli , slit green chillies – 1 no.
- Onion – 1 small
- Carrot – 1 tbsp
- Green peas – 1 tbsp
- Coriander – for garnish
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds once it begins to crackle add curry leaves,green chilli,turmeric & oats saute for 2-3 minutes or till it turns light brown in colour, stirring occasionally.
- Drop in onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute or till the onions turn translucent. Add the all the veggies and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of water, cover and cook on a slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve immediately garnished with coriander.
